Our Philosophy

Our ancestors followed the sky to orient themselves. They understood that the body, the psyche, and the seasons speak the same language.

Somewhere along the way, that literacy was lost — not all at once, but gradually, as the sharp lines of institution replaced the soft cycles of nature. What remained were fragments: celebrations emptied of their origins, rituals stripped of their roots, traditions that felt increasingly incongruous — a midwinter feast folded into commerce, a spring resurrection tangled with chocolate eggs and a fantastical gift-bearer.

Season House began as an attempt to make sense of that incongruity.

It has since become something deeper.

We do not consume mysticism here. We participate in it. We tend thresholds. We honour transitions. We build ritual containers for lives that are ready to remember.

About the Founder

Season House was founded by Tamara Ó hÓGÁIN — behavioural science specialist, writer, and cantadora.

Her work bridges psychology and myth, structure and wildness, nervous system and symbol. It began with a simple question: why do our most sacred traditions feel so strange? And it deepened into a life's work of recovering what was buried beneath them.

Today, many are finding that their truest connection to the sacred lives not in dogma or institution, but in the rhythm of their own homes and hearts. Tamara's offerings are designed to bring reverence, creativity, and meaning back into the rituals and celebrations that mark our lives — rooted in historical truth, expressed through story.
